If you’re looking for a high stakes Romantasy with forced proximity and a touch of darkness:

This is a fantastic read that soared straight to the top of my favorites list. I loved the world, the realms, and the kingdoms. You get just enough world building to visualize this unique and beautiful world, while still having a nicely flowing plot. I loved the suspense and danger, the training with competitors and found family, and how the FMC finds her place in that world. Bianca is a brave, strong, and protective FMC with a kind soul. Brandon Oscuro is the perfect book boyfriend material. He is strong and powerful, but kind and good. The dual POV in this romantasy hit just right. This is a plot driven story with a feel good romance along the way. I loved the main characters. I loved the people who surround the main characters. The Fifth Soul is a book that I really enjoyed reading. The story is great and really well written. I will recommend this to everyone, hands down. I will 100% read this again, and I cannot wait for book two (which I will read immediately).

This is a book I think fans of ACOTAR and Fourth swing will enjoy. It’s a unique story of its own, but has some feels of each of those.
