The Weaver Bride by Lydia Gregovic

This was a wild ride filled with mystery, twists, betrayal, and a love triangle that left me feeling torn between love and duty.
A FMC in hiding found by the one person she needs to be hiding from… the type of confident charming MMC that “plays with his food” And, oh my gosh that tension and yearning 🫠 the way the reluctant allies becomes a love triangle… I could. It lit this book down!! This played with my emotions, never knowing who to trust and where their true motives lie. I LOVED the room it left for me to wonder and make theories.

The overall vibe of the book gives regency feels in an elegant romantasy with trials, mystery, and magic. I really enjoyed the magic system and the political intrigue around it. The house/castle is old and seems to carry magic and darkness of its own. The FMC ends up in a princess trials situation that mostly focuses on wit and intelligence, but has dangerous and deadly elements.

This book is fantastic. It’s one of those you pick up and feel fully invested in the characters and story from the first chapter. I could not put this book down. I ran and got the audio and it is FANTASTIC as well. Honestly, this book is the story I wanted Powerless to be. It’s unique and twisty, yearning and tension with unreliable trust, mystery and a love triangle that left even me, as the reader, torn between love and duty 🔥 and, that ending 😱 I am dying for book two!
