I am so very much in love with this fae romantasy 🥹 the fae MMC BRINGS ALL the Mr. Darcy vibes with the mysterious & broody demeanor, quiet yearning, hand flexes, and secretly protective 🫠🫠🫠 I loved how the soft FMC finds her strength along the way and how you can tell he is proud of every step she takes to do that. His guidance and protection along with the help of his found family is everything. She is a human from a small town who follows her family being taken into the fae realm. This lands her right in the middle of a court intrigue situation where the fae can’t lie but they can use their words cleverly to deceive. She has to make deals with the fae she meets as she enters their realm, and doesn’t know if she can’t trust him. As part of her deal she meets a fae prince who makes her question who she has trusted so far. There is an element of broken to healing through love which I always enjoy. Be ready for a slow burn romance filled with yearning and Swoony declarations.
In true fantasy fashion, you also get a full cast of fantasy creatures and all the feels of adventure. I loved every second of this book, and will 100% reread this when the audio comes out. I would love to see a second book with more of their story together.
