The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst

Cozy Fantasy Romance

ADORABLE story that feels like reading a warm hug.
First, I absolutely love the sentient spider plant, Caz. The best side character ever!! Sassy plant. Assistant who always has something to say.
You get an FMC trying to start over after running from a collapsing empire. She likes books more than people, and has a talking plant bestie. Then enters the very helpful neighbor who loves to pop in. They get a sweet bonding over saving his met-horses and a slow burn, sweet romance.
You get some spells that don’t quite go as expected and the story has a sweet, cozy, and fun feel to it.

The found family in this is a lot of fun and I love how easily they take her in. This gives all the best small town feels.

This book 100% made me want to buy a small cottage and open a shop selling plants and jam 😍
