I really enjoyed this book with the adventure and the bonded yearning between the MCs. The FMC is likable and I kept saying one more chapter just to see how the next fateful event would unfold for her. I loved the dynamic between the FMC and MMC, how their connection and feelings grew. How they worked together on this quest. And the character growth they both experienced.
The pull between them is instant but you get the tension of them trying to not give in… until they do 🫠
This is a fast paced story that builds the world through the main character’s experiences. This is more modern day world with ancient magic coming to life. So the world building is the history and the power of the giants. I felt the world was built well in a standalone high fantasy like this. I really enjoyed this and would have loved for this to be a series giving each event along the quest more time to immerse in the gravity of it.
This feels like a Jack & the Beanstalk x Revelation inspired romantasy.
