Holy banter and tension, Batman 🤩 this is truly the most fun reading a book I’ve had in a long time: the characters are irresistibly entertaining with their sassy and menacing banter. I think I’ve found a new favorite author! I started this book at 6pm and stayed up until the next morning reading it 🤭 it was totally worth missing out on sleep!
You get both fun, tension- filled banter and a really sweet broken to healing story that is completely adorable and pulls at your heart. I love how the FMC is invited into his family as a newcomer in town and how they shower her with love. And even more, I love the fiesty relationship she has with their son when he returns home to run the family business. The dual POV hits just right because you get to see that fine line between frustrating but playful annoyance and the longing with heavy yearning. As if working together wasn’t enough tension torture for these two, they end up having to live together temporarily. this MMC can really pine 🫠
I read romcoms often, but I love how much of the comedy side was in this romance 💗 10/10 recommend
Now I’ll be off to read everything else from this author.
