Oh how I love the feisty back and forth of a hate to lovers trope and this one did not disappoint. Complete with a single dad x single mom (to be). And even with all the banter and protective swoon and vexing tension, my favorite character is 100% his teenage son.
You get a betrayed and brokenhearted FMC who moves to a smaller town outside the city to find a simpler life for her and her unborn baby. And you get a motorcycle club leader MMC who lives next door with his meddling teenage son. The friendship the FMC builds with the teen is super sweet with caretaking. The annoyance the FMC and MMC have for each other is fun to read. They both have big hearts so this plays into a lot of forced proximity.
You get a couple big suspenseful twists which led to me reading this book at 4am 🤭
