YA Fantasy Romance

Top tier YA fantasy with romance!! The world and magic system have amazing depth and the way they are built causally through character immersion in the plot makes for a really smooth and immersive read. In true YA fashion, you are dropped right into the exciting part of the story with characters you immediately fall in love with. I love the FMC, the fact that she is different and determined it to let the world make her feel ‘less than’. I found her really relatable and loveable. I was rooting for her from the first pages. You get the friends to lovers trope with a best friend’s brother. And then the mysterious new student brings a tension filled love triangle (that I still don’t know which way it will go). This is a high school aged YA in a magic realm and a magic school setting.

I absolutely loved how the secret trials come into play and the danger and allies this brings for the FMC. I could not stop listening to this and will yell from the mountain tops for everyone to read this one.
